Protecting Your Professional and Personal Privacy
CEO Coaching and More participants own thriving small businesses and technology firms on the verge of significant growth. The information shared during peer forums, seminars and workshops, and coaching sessions can be proprietary and confidential in nature. The success of a company and its ability to compete in the marketplace can depend on guarding this privacy. Therefore, creating and maintaining a confidential environment among program participants is imperative and taken very seriously.
What information you share and when you share it is completely at your discretion. Some participants will feel comfortable with discussing every aspect of their companies, while others will take time to acclimate. There is no right or wrong. But like everything else in business and life, you get out of it, what you put in.
The program director reviews the confidentiality policy with program participants and reiterates the importance of abiding by an “honor code.” Every participant is required to sign a confidentiality agreement during the first meeting, which extends to all program components and staff.
